Face Mask Donation To Los Angeles Unified School District

NewRain LAUSD Face Mask Donation

NewRain International, a provider of non-medical personal protective equipment, has made a donation of 750 daily-wear masks to the Los Angeles Unified School District. The high-quality masks will help the district enhance the safety of staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’ve seen the market flooded with equipment of questionable quality, including home-made masks created simply from a single layer of everyday fabric,” noted NewRain Founder and President Johnney Zhang. “It’s critically important that people have access to a level of protection that is effective and reliable.”

The NewRain masks offer a superior level of quality for non-medical usage including 95% filtration of particulates as well as a secure and comfortable fit. They are designed to close the gap between fully N95-compliant gear reserved for direct healthcare workers and first responders on one hand and cheap but ineffective alternatives for consumers.

“We’re grateful to NewRain for helping us provide our employees with protective equipment,” Superintendent Austin Beutner said. “We will continue to make the safety of all in our school community – students, staff, families and visitors – a priority.”

In addition to educational institutions, the masks are a high-quality choice for other organizations such as businesses as they reopen their facilities. Employee confidence in the safety of such facilities will be an important factor in welcoming people back to the workplace as the recovery progresses.

The donation to LAUSD was facilitated through Gen Next, an area organization of highly successful individuals dedicated to learning about and becoming engaged with the most pressing challenges facing future generations.
